Obituary of Virginia Keech
Virginia Mae Jackson Davis Keech passed away peacefully on August 2, 2017 at the Residential Health Care Facility, Chenango Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Faye Anderson and son, Wayne Davis. Two sons, Gary Davis and Glenn Davis, predeceased her. Also surviving are two sisters, Anne Wood and Shirley Canahan. Several grandchildren survive, Don Davis, Melissa Davis, Chad Davis, Gregg Davis, Kelly Wark, Kurt Davis, Glenn Davis, Cindy Calabrese, Terry Davis, Deidre Davis, Stefanie Jenkins, Sara Anderson, and Lindsay Fales. 16 great grandchildren, also survive.
Virginia worked for many years at Norwich Pharmaceuticals.
Always a homemaker, the family has fond memories of homemade bread, jellies and a great garden. Her grandchildren always said that Grandma Keech made the best grilled cheese sandwiches.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Chenango Memorial RHCF, and especially Curtis Oliver who was not just Mom's nurse, but a great friend to her.
A funeral and committal services will be held at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, NY on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Glenn Mahaffey officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
