Amelia Curestin Wakefield, 16 of Oxford soared with the angels Friday, May 3, 2019. Amelia was the most gentle, fun-loving and precious young lady, she was adored and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was born August 22, 2002 to David Wakefield and Tonnia Tompkins-Wakefield
Weighing only 3 lbs. 9 ozs, she was a born fighter.
She was an honor roll student. Participated in varsity soccer, basketball and cosmetology. She started riding a dirt bike at the age of two! She danced with the Perkins School of the arts.
Ameila is survived by her loving parents, David and Tonnia. Sister Cailynn Baird. Her beloved cat Wells.
Grandparents, Donna and Jim Wakefield, Larry Tompkins, Tami and Ron Menard.
Great grandparents, Retha Wakefield, "Nana"- Sharon Shackelton, Ralph and Lola Shackelton.

Amelia was pre-deceased by her Great Grandparents, Linn and Doris Lawton, Larry and Althea Tompkins, Oscar and Betty Schaefer, Jim Wakefield, and Mo Beckwith. Her grandmothers, Carolyn Fisher and Joanne Schraft. Great Uncles: Bill Wakefield, Jimmy Schaefer and Keith Shackelton. Great Aunts, Linda Lawton, Jessica Maclay and Linda Dean.
Friends and family may call at the Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830 on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 1:00 PM- 3:00PM and from 5:00PM -8:00PM. Funeral service for Amelia will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 5:00 PM at the Oxford Academy Middle School Auditorium.
