Andrew "Andy" A. Head, 40, of Oxford passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2018. Andy was born on April 21, 1978 in Norwich, NY son of Peggy Sue (Ross) Carhart and Richard Head. Andy was predeceased by his grandparents Donald "Pop" and Grace Ross and his great grandparents Leon and Viola Simson and Allen and Laura Ross.
Andy is survived by his daughter Andrea Lynn Head and her mother; his beloved mother and stepfather Peggy Sue and John Carhart, and his father Richard and Tammy Head. Andy is also survived by his sisters Jennifer (John Beckwith) Brooks, Rebecca (Joe) Barrows, Jaimie (Jeff) Hammond, Brandie Benedict, Mallory (Evan) Bates, Nicole Head, Cassie (Stan Jr.) Barrows; his brothers Chad (Irene) Carhart, Derrick Head, and Nathan (Heather) Head. Andy is survived by his grandparents Pauline and Lee Head, his uncle Tim Ross and Mary Olmstead, his girlfriend Beverly Combes and her 5 children, his close friends Haley Clarkson and Jim Tefft, and by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Andy was a graduate of Oxford Academy and Central School. He loved bow hunting and fishing. He was a hard-working man who loved his friends and family. Andy was always hard at work cutting wood, stacking stone pallets, and landscaping. He had a green thumb and loved gardening, always maintaining beautiful flowers around his home and being the first to volunteer helping in the vegetable garden. In his early years Andy was an avid bowler he even once bowled a 300 game.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 1:00PM-3:00PM. Funeral service will follow at 3:00PM with Pastor Richard Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford, NY.
