Ann Marie Markovich (Saracino), 76, of Oxford, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
She was born and raised in Wilkes Barre, PA on June 30, 1945, daughter of Joseph and Mary Saracino (Militski).
She attended St. Ann's Academy and later graduated from GAR Memorial High School.
She was widowed to Frank S. Markovich, Sr. after being married for over 50 years.
Ann Marie is survived by her sons, Frank Jr. (wife Marcy), Michael, and James (wife Bethany).
She is also survived by her granddaughter Ashlyn and many loving relatives, nieces, and nephews.
She was a proud Navy wife and later a proud mother of her three boys. She was an amazing cook and loved preparing authentic cuisine for her family and friends. For many years she was at the top of the list as a substitute teacher at Oxford Academy High School then worked in the office. She ended her career working at B.O.C.E.S. For many years she was an officer of both the Oxford Youth Sports Program and Cub Scout Pack 65, where she was also a den mother. Aways on the move, she was heavily involved with many community social activities and St Joseph's church. Recently she was involved with the BC Corvettes and Leatherstocking Corvette Club, despite never having actually owned a Corvette.
Friends and family may call on Saturday April 2nd at St. Joseph's Church, Oxford NY. Calling hours are 10am, Funeral Mass at 11am.
