Barbara Ann (Krygier) Williams passed away on Monday February 25 in Bronte, TX. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) A. Williams and parents, Ray and Mary Krygier (Oxford, NY),
Barbara is survived by her children Patrick Williams Bronte, TX, Mary (Williams)Lower Brandon, FL, and Anastasia (Williams) Forrestal Baltimore, MD. She was the beloved grandmother of Haillie, Robert, Charles (Chuck) Lower and John, Mary Mae Lynn, and Raymond Williams.
Barbara will be missed by her brother and sisters, Raymond Krygier, East Pharsalia, NY, Margaret Witkop North Syracuse, NY, Patricia Gustafson North Syracuse, NY, and Kathleen Vaselopulos, Beaufort, SC. Remembered with love by her many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 30, 1950. She moved with her family to Oxford in 1959. She graduated from Oxford Academy in 1968 before meeting and marrying Bob in 1969. She and her family enjoyed exploring new places due to job transfers. Each day was an adventure and we hold many wonderful and special memories of Barbara.
Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and sister that brightened our lives with her happy nature and giving spirit. She never met a stranger and was always willing to take the time to get to know others. She loved to craft and share her creations with family and friends. She was a hands-on grandmother who loved caring for her grandchildren. Barbara loved her dogs and did not hesitate to take in strays and quickly provide them with unconditional love. She enjoyed raising chickens but learned that chickens do not like wearing sweaters even on the coldest days in Texas.
While she will be missed by family and friends her memory will always be in our hearts and minds. God has gained a cherished angel.
Graveside Services will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Oxford, NY on Friday, May 10 at 11:00 AM. Barbara's favorite color was red, we ask that you honor her memory by wearing red to the service.
A lunch for family and friends to honor Barbara will follow the service at 12:30 at Wild Owl Café, 28 S Broad St, Norwich, NY.
