Carole Shirley Torre 88, of Greene NY passed away on October 29, 2021. Carole was born November 25, 1932, in Little Ferry New Jersey, daughter of the great Captain Benjamin Wagner and Louise M. Kavrik Wagner. She is survived by her 2 children; Anthony Jr. who resides in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and Carole Nease who resides in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She is also survived by her 9 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren who reside throughout the United States from New Hampshire to Hawaii to Florida. Carole is predeceased by her son Ronald Torre from Greene NY and her beloved husband of 61 years, Anthony Torre from Lodi, New Jersey. In the first 20 years of Carole and Anthony's married life they owned and operated a dairy and beef farm in Oxford, New York. Later in life she and Anthony owned and operated a marina and campground in Santee, South Carolina. Upon retiring Carole and Anthony settled in Fort Meyers, Florida. As the years past, they moved back to spend their final years living with their son, Ronald on his farm at 166 North Road, Greene NY. Carole was very entrepreneurial as she owned and operated a custom leather business which specialized in holsters and women's handbags made for carrying concealed weapons. Most of all, Carole was the family Matriarch who held all together with her care, direction, acceptance, and love, even to her last days spent in the Delhi Rehab and Nursing Home she would be there for her children and grandchildren's many calls and needs and encouragement to her neighbors. Carole Shirley Torre was a beautiful kind soul who loved her husband and children dearly. She preserved through many ailments until she finally weakened, and the Lord decided to take her home to heaven. She will be deeply missed. Gone now... but forever in the hearts of her children and family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc, 21 North Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. There will be a Catholic Mass on Saturday, November 13th, at St. Joseph's Church in Oxford NY, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in River View Cemetery, Father Paul Machira officiating.
