Clarice bornschein

Clarice Leila Kavanagh Bornschein, 81 of Oxford, passed away on May 14th, 2021. She was born September 17, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY, born to Leila Kavanagh, who predeceases her. From Brooklyn she moved to Long Island, NY in 1961. She continued to live on Long Island until 2007, then she moved to Oxford, NY with her husband John Bornschein. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family. She was a seamstress by choice and made several of her daughter's wedding dresses.
She is survived by her loving husband John Bornschein, and her 12 children (4 from birth) Claire Brengel Fialkowski, predeceased (Eddie), Dawn Brengel Zerbo (Michael), Colleen Brengel Orlando (Jack), Larry Brengel (Tina), Jackie Bornschein Ulrich (Andrew Predeceased), John Bornschein (Sandy), Jefferey Bornschein (Phyllis), James Bornschein (Christine), Janine Bornschein O'Brien (Pete), Tracy Leffel (Jim), Alice Brown (John), Jefferey Mason (Pam). 35 Grandchildren, 42 1/2 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Clarice is predeceased by one daughter Claire, one granddaughter Jennifer, 6 siblings Burt, Dotti, Annie, Eddie, Patty, Jimmy and her mother Leila and both mother & father-in-law Margaret & Fred Bornschein.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law Barbara Bornschein Kaminski (Walter), of Oxford, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main St. Oxford, NY 13830. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday May 21, 2021 from 12:00 PM - 1:00PM.
