David Oliphant, 78, of Oxford, passed away Sunday October 9th from a short battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda, who passed in 2006.
David is survived by his daughter, Claudia Tefft, her husband Craig Tefft, and their girls Jazmine, Jada, and Jenna Albin; and his son Alan Oliphant. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Helen Wahl (Don), sister-in-law Shirley Wisnowski ,sister-in-law Gloria Cota (George), brother-in-law John Baker (Lisa), niece Kathy Jordan (David), Lisa Cota, nephew George Cota( Alice), niece Caroline Cota, and nephew Justin Baker.
David worked for GE as a computer Network Engineer for 20 years before moving to West Virginia and working for FEMA in Virginia.
David loved antique cars and had many through his life time. He loved the color of the leaves in the fall. He adored his 3 grandchildren, that called him Daddy O, and they were the reason he retired in Oxford.
Private services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please spend time with your families enjoying parks and waterfalls.
