DONALD JOSEPH REYNOLDS (Don, DJ), 88, of 4222 County Road 32, Oxford, N.Y., passed away July 2, 2024, at his home. He was born in the Village of Sherburne on July 29, 1935, the son of Joseph Augustus Reynolds and Mary Donita (Yasas) Reynolds. On October 14, 1994, he married Vicki, who survives. Also, surviving are daughters Robin Crosier of Amsterdam, Kim Reynolds, of Norwich, and Debra (Peter) Reynolds-Minucci of Hillsborough, N.C., sons, Keith Reynolds of Norwich, Dr. Craig (Jeannine) Reynolds of Syracuse, Scott Reynolds (Jennifer) of Charlotte, N.C. and Step-Children Staci (Emmett) Sansoucie of Webster, and Corey Phillips of Norwich. Grandchildren Glendon, Kelly, Jacob, Kristi (Bryan), Joshua, Joseph (Allison), Jeffrey, KJ, Drew, Evie, Baylee, and Courtney. Step-grandchildren Thomas, Madison, Lillie, Kelsey, Chrissy, Evan, and Jake. Great-grandchildren Morgan, Logan, Linkin, Julien, Cullen, Brantley, Austin, Jackson, Carter, Lennon, Evalyn, Quin and Eason. Step-Great grandchild Jack. Great-Great-grandson, Jacob. Also surviving are sister, Carolyn, an aunt, cousins, nephews and nieces and Don’s dog, Ladi. Predeceasing Don, were sons Carl Douglas, who passed away in 1965, Gary Donald, who passed away in 2005, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and Don’s parents Joseph and Mary Reynolds, Son in law, Jerry and Brother in law Charlie. Don attended Earlville High School, Colgate University and various banking schools. Don was an instructor at the American Institute of Banking. He was employed by NBT Norwich and the National Bank of Oxford for over 35 years, retiring in 1993 due to health problems. Don was formerly active in political, sports and community affairs. Don enjoyed sports and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston/Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves since 1946. He enjoyed going to Fenway Park and the Carrier Dome with son Scott, Olympic Stadium with sons Scott and Craig. He was formerly an avid hunter and fisherman, often doing one or the other for days at a time usually with son Keith and often with son Gary. He later became an animal lover of both wild and domestic animals. He enjoyed vacations and going to concerts with his wife, Vicki. He would go 4-wheeling with grandson, Joey, whenever he had the opportunity. He has played poker at many Casinos. He liked reading on a number of subjects. He studied Economics, Real Estate and the stock market. He was interested in history, numismatics, NASCAR, the internet and many other subjects. He was afan of singers Tammy Wynette, Neil Diamond, Don Williams, Martina McBride and Jerry Lee Lewis. He loved the hills, woods, valleys and streams of Central New York. He greatly enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Per Don’s wishes there will be no calling hours, or funeral. His ashes will be dispensed over the Williams Bridge at the Chenango River in Earlville, as well as at the grave site of his sons and other Favorite places.
