Edwin Walter Kalicicki, 75 of Oxford, NY passed away on January 17, 2023. Ed was born in Norwich, NY son of the late Walter and Adeline Kalicicki. Ed was predeceased by his wife, Carol, and by his parents.
Renee Kalicicki, NC; and Andy (Abi) Kalicicki, N, are Ed’s surviving children. In addition, his stepchildren Patricia Conklin, FL; Pamela Conklin, FL; Scott Conklin, OH; and Timothy (Cindy) Conklin, NY survive him. Ed is also survived by his grandchildren Tyler Kalicicki, Alexander Kalicicki, Anderson Kalicicki, Michelle Alvarez, Bryan Alvarez, Matthew Conklin, Joshua Conklin, Jayden Simas, Nathan Conklin, Ryan Conklin, Aubrie Conklin, Nicole Conklin, Tim Conklin III, Cody Conklin, Carrie Conklin, and Trent Conklin, and by his great grandchildren Damien Conklin, Lilith Conklin, and Mila Alverez. Gene (Ellen) Kalicicki are Ed’s surviving sibling.
Ed was a soldier through and through. He was awarded two purple hearts and an Army Commendation Medal during his two tours in Vietnam. Ed had a passion for wood working. He was talented and was able to turn simple sticks and wood slabs into everlasting memories for his loved ones and friends. He enjoyed reading, gardening, country music, and western films. Ed was a fantastic husband, father, and grandfather. He was a real-life superhero to all those who loved him. His imprints on every soul he touched are the diamonds that are forever etched into the memories he left with them. Ed was a memorable and kindhearted man who will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
