James Allen Fleming

James A. Fleming, 83, of Oxford, NY. Passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on February 26, 2025. James was born in Bainbridge, NY, the son of the late Floyd and Catherine Fleming. James is predeceased by his parents, and by his daughter Jamie Adams of New Smyrna Beach FL, and his brother-in-law Paul Estelow of Oxford, NY. He was also predeceased by his beloved dog Genni.

James is survived by his loving wife Midge Fleming of Oxford, NY and their children Timothy Fleming of Corinth, NY and Michael (Pamela) Fleming of St. Petersburg Beach, FL. He is also survived by his sisters, his twin Judy Estelow of Oxford, NY, Carol (Fred) Diamond of Oxford, NY and Joan Fleming of Everett WA. James also leaves behind his grandchildren Scott (Morgan) Adams of Mabank TX, Christopher (Kayla) Fleming of Marcellus, NY, Brennan Fleming of Glens Falls, NY and Timothy (Hali) Fleming of Glens Falls, NY. James is also survived by his sister-in-law Wendi Heaton of Clifton Park, NY, his daughter’s significant other Bob McConkey of New Smyrna Beach, FL. James also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and extended family members. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.

James worked for the IBEW Local Union 1249 in Syracuse, NY for 42 years and was married to his beloved wife Midge for 63 years.
