Janet r. photiou

Janet R. Photiou, 77 of McDonough passed away at her home on November 24, 2022. She was born on November 5, 1945, in Newbury, MA a daughter of the late George and Virginia (Gowan) Carleton. On September 17, 1966, she married James Photiou, who survives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, James Photiou of Ohio, Cassandra Marie Mirzakhani of West Virginia, Sean Photiou of McDonough, and Elisha Photiou of Ohio. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Janet was a lover of animals and enjoyed showing her cows and horses. She loved and farm life and was a great cook and baker for her family. She was Vice President of the McDonough Garden Club. She was a member of the Smithville Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of her life will be held December 10, 2022, at the Smithville Presbyterian Church with Pastor Dorothy Pierce officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Smithville Presbyterian Church.
