Joanne Berry

Joanne Berry passed away on July 22, 2024, at O’Connor Hospital in Delhi, NY. Joanne was a resident of Oxford, NY. Joanne has lived and loved living in Oxford for the past 18 years since retiring from AT&T. She was born on September 15, 1950, in Burlington, New Jersey to Joseph Raymond Berry and Helen Mae Kimble. She graduated from Burlington High school and attended Montclair State College in N.J. She enjoyed a long career with AT&T and enjoyed some interesting part-time work after moving to Oxford in 2006. Joanne loved the Chenango Valley because of the serenity of the mountains and friendliness of the people. She also enjoyed traveling to Maine, Vermont and the Atlantic seaboard cities. Joanne loved arts and crafts, gardening and the serenity of the lakes and mountains.

Joanne is predeceased in death by her son, Jason Berry. A Marine Lance Corporal and Veteran of the Iraq War.

She is survived by her grandson, Jacob Joseph Berry of Pennsylvania, and her sister Judith Fors and her husband Raymod Fors of California, Nieces Wendy Jerdon of Arizonia, Amber Steinagel of Colorado. Nephew; Sean Berry and Joseph Berry of New Jersey and great nephews Kristian Fors and Alexander Fors of California.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc, 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. A private service will be held on August 2, 2024, at 11:00AM in Riverview Cemetery. Friends and family may share memories and condolences by visiting www.behefuneralhome.com
