Kenneth E. Marvin Sr. 86, of Norwich, NY, passed away from complications of cancer. He was born on April 14, 1938, the son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Myers) Marvin. Kenneth enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served for two years. He married Carolyn Rose Webb in 1959, and they were married for 63 years.
Kenneth is survived by his children Maureen and Andy Sayles, Stephen and Pamela Marvin and Scott and Melinda (Wright) Marvin. Kenneth is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and his siblings Harold Marvin Sr. and Martha and Neal Hines.
Kenneth is predeceased by his by his wife Carolyn Marvin, his son Kenneth E. Marvin Jr., and his siblings Karl Marvin, Amy Stovall, and Inez Macomber.
Kenneth was a hard-working man. He loved his garden and tending to it. He could often be found sitting on his bench in the back yard and watching the garden grow. He and his wife loved their children and would do anything for them, never expecting anything in return. Kenneth retired and took care of his wife until she passed away in 2023.
Kenneth was in Chenango County Hospice care and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Oxford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Kenneth’s memory can be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3 Scott Street, Oxford, NY 13830.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. Friends and family may call at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Oxford, NY on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 10:00AM-11:00AM.
