Larry J Jones, 73, from Oxford, NY passed away peacefully on January 14, 2021 at the New York State Veteran's Home in Oxford, NY. Larry was born November, of 1947 in Little Falls NY. Son of the late Victor Jones and Alyce (Walrath) Jones. Larry is predeceased by his son Todd Jones.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Linda Roys-Jones and by his children Allison Jones, Michael Jones, John (Nichole) Franklin, Candy Roys-Jones and his brother Mark Jones; Grandchildren Stephanie Gibilaro and Jason Colon, Sara Hollingsworth and Rachael Wolfanger. He is also survived by his best bud, Bill Roys, and many nieces, nephews and so many family and friends who he loved dearly.
Larry was honored to have served 26 years active and reserve duty in the U.S. Navy, HM1 Retired. He achieved his black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 65 with his friends and family at Greene Dragon Martial Arts cheering him on. Larry was a member of the Oxford American Legion post # 376 enjoyed hunting, fishing, and karate. He was quite the outdoors man and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved his family and will be forever missed by those who loved him.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc, 21 Main Street, Oxford NY 13830. There will be no services held at this time, a celebration of life with take place at a date to be announced.
