Louise Margaret Tansey

Louise Margaret Tansey, of Kilroy Road, Oxford NY passed away on February 24, 2025, at the Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born on July 27, 1932, in NYC, a daughter of the late Otto and Tessie Zimmermann. On November 21, 1954, she married Paul Richard Tansey who predeceased her. Louise is also predeceased by her son Mark Andrew Tansey. 

 Louise is survived by her three sons and their families, Paul Tobin and Kelly Tansey and children, Gavin and Brinna of Victor, NY, Timothy Allen and Norma Tansey and children Sam, Adam and Asuka and great granddaughters Lyla and Kaia Tansey, and Alexis and Steven Aguilar of Hawaii, and Richard Scott Tansey of Oxford.

 Louise was a graduate of Oxford Academy and Central Schools. She was an owner/operator dairy farmer with registered Holstein and Brown Swiss cows. Always working hard and long hours on the Tansey Family Farm. She was also a bookkeeper for the Oxford Milk Plant and Oxford Review Times along with being a 4-H Leader. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. A Graveside memorial service will be held at the Riverview Cemetery, Oxford, NY on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 11:00AM. Friends and family may share memories and condolences by visiting www.behefuneralhome.com.
