Malvin wesley davis

Malvin W. Davis, 86 of Norwich passed away on August 5, 2022, at his home. He was born on January 30, 1936, in Cottonwood, AZ a son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Pylant) Davis. On September 27, 1956, at the Submarine Base Chapel, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii he married Janice Wackford, who passed away on May 26, 2015.

He is survived by his children: Kimberlie Ballew and Gregory Davis; and grandchildren, Christopher Ballew and Jennifer Pletz and family.

Mal served in the US Navy for over 24 years, retiring as a Master Chief. He then worked for the US Postal Service for 20 years, retiring in 1997. He was a long-time member of The Lake Steere Club, where he enjoyed fishing and organizing events, especially the monthly neighborhood picnics. He was a member over 40 years in Fort Hill Post #376, American Legion. In his spare time, Mal loved gardening, woodworking and basket weaving.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Riverview Cemetery, Lower Entrance. Services will be led by his brother-in-law, Cal Colvin and Military honors by the US Navy and Fort Hill Post #376, American Legion.
