Patricia M Wakefield

Patricia M. Wakefield, 80, of Oxford, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Pat was born in Green Township, NJ. Daughter of the late Clarence and Samantha (Coy) Youngs. Pat was predeceased by her parents and by her siblings Clarence Youngs Jr, Loretta Mathewson, and Steven Youngs.

Pat is survived by her loving husband Raymond Wakefield Sr. and by her children Deborah and Tim Murphy, Raymond Jr and Jane Wakefield, Daniel and Sabrina Wakefield, and Yvonne Wakefield and Robert Greenman. Pat is also survived by her siblings Brenda and Larry Kisner, Dennis Youngs, and Kitty Williams, and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pat, throughout the years worked for Ames Department Store, Jamesway, and Bartle’s Pharmacy. She served on the Preston Town Board for many years. Pat enjoyed listening to country music. Her favorite artists Whispering Bill Anderson and Credence Clearwater Revival. Pat enjoyed many camping trips to the Adirondacks and trips to Florida with her husband Ray.  Pat loved flowers and gardening; her favorite flower was yellow roses. Pat was a loving and kind woman who opened her home to anyone needing family and support.  She was strong-willed, and always there for those who needed her most.
