Ray farnsworth

Our friend Ray W. Farnsworth, 59 of Norwich, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday March 26, 2022. Ray was born on March 19,1963 to the late John W. Farnsworth and Helen L. Farnsworth. He graduated from Norwich High School and afterwards he attended Suny Morrisville and Suny Oneonta. Ray worked a variety of jobs, but one he really enjoyed was his position at Unison GE industry in Norwich. Ray was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend! He was an avid music fan. He appreciated all music and would become known as “rockin radio ray”, for his infamous air guitar. If you knew Ray, his ability to remember band facts and song lyrics was impressive to most, and was the happiest, rockin out, jamming his air guitar. He always enjoyed a good joke, and he had an infectious laugh. Ray was a friend to many, and would give you the shirt off his back, and his last 20 dollars if you needed it. He will be remembered for his ability to share a laugh and his comforting demeanor.

Ray was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Bridgett Cutting, and his grandson Patrick Cutting.

Ray is survived by his wife Shirley Farnsworth, his children, Matt Miller, Steven Cutting, Alania & Herbert Nelson, and Jenna Swayze. He is also survived by his grandchildren Noah Cutting, Hailey Cutting, Kaitlyn Cutting, Thomas Stanley Jr, Keith David, Courtney Nelson, Dylan Wall, Dakota Nelson, Aurora Armstrong, Karliah Armstrong, and Michael and Jayleigh Swayze.
Ray is also survived by his brothers, Crosby B. Farnsworth, Aleta Farnsworth, John J. and Ariene Farnsworth, and Danny Farnsworth, and by his nieces & nephews, Danielle Farnsworth, Nathaniel Farnsworth, Jeremy Farnsworth, Stephanie Angle, Heather Brunick and Daniel Farnsworth. Also surviving ray are his two godchildren, Kelli Johnson, and Kaci Fredenburg, and many great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc., Oxford, NY.
