Richard E. Hodge, 64 of Greene passed away following an automobile accident in the Town of Guilford on July 5, 2013. He was born on June 16, 1949 in Greene a son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Lyons) Hodge.
Rick is survived by his children, Karen Parra of Smithville Flats, Susan Cruz of Greene and John and Jody Barnum of Nevada; his grandchildren, Taia and Fred Mills, Roger LaShure, Jr., Geraldo Rivera, Jeremey and Sandra Cruz, Deanne Cruz and her life partner, Stacey Viele, Otilio and Jessica Cruz, Maya Cruz and Paul Presnell, Sahra Barnum, Casandra Barnum, Nicholas Barnum and Nathan Barnum, and his best friend, Linda Gerst. Sixteen great grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by his wife Deanne Hodge and granddaughter, MaryAnne LaShure.
He had worked at Greene Brass & Aluminum Foundry and Greene Technologies. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his landscaping and gardening prowess. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing cards. He was a great fan of wrestling.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, NY.
