Richard Donald Rolles 1938 - 2020
Richard (Dick) Donald Rolles, age 81, of McDonough, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, from COVID. Dick was born on December 18, 1938 in Broome County, NY. He grew up in Hillcrest, NY in the care of Children's Home of Wyoming Conference. Dick spent his life devoting his time to his family. He had a strong love of animals and enjoyed carpentry and was a man of many talents. He was a loving father, uncle, and grandfather. Although he could be grumpy his heart was lead with good intentions and he always did his best to help anyone in need. We will all miss him greatly especially his children. Dick was pre-deceased and dearly loved by his wife of nearly 57 years, Nina Lee Rolles, his parents George and Ruth (who passed when he was young), and his three brothers. He leaves behind Sisters Ruth and Joyce; daughters Terri Rolles, Toashie Camp (Kevin), Joy Velez (Fred), Connie Terrell (Ed), Patricia Evans, and Samantha King and son Richard Rolles, Jr. Dick was a Grandfather to Violet, Justin, Shauna (Ian), Matthew, Jolene, Melisa (Aaron), Joshua, Eugene, Jessy, Christopher (Camille), Steven, Tina (Dustin), Thomas (Jessica), Neil, Jay, Savannah, Wyatt, and many great grandchildren.
Family will gather at the Occanum Church on Dunbar Road in Windsor, NY, on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 5:00 PM, due to COVID a limited number of guests will be allowed, and social distancing will be enforced. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Broome County Humane Society can be made in his memory.
