Ronald (Ron) Torre 60 of Coventry NY died in the loving arms of his wife and surrounded by family on August 17, 2018 at his home.
Ron was born on September 2, 1957 to Anthony and Carole Torre. He attended the Oxford academy in Oxford NY. His family moved to Syracuse NY then down to Shelter Cove NJ Ron was a part of the graduating class of 1975 Toms river South High School. He lived in the forked River and Waretown NJ area, Green Bay WI and Coventry NY
Ron in his early adulthood clammed on the Barnegat bay and worked for Mariners Marina in Barnaget NJ. Ron then in 1988 Started his career in the transportation industry. He was a driver for Schneider National Carriers, Wisconsin Express Lines and Santaro Transportation. He then bought his Dream. A farm in the hills of New York where he was born and so loved. where he and his family raised a wonderful herd of Dairy cattle and milked through 2011. Ron then switched to raising Beef cattle and Swine. He also rescued miniature pigs and his love grew for his rescued babies. He might get carried away rescuing 8 miniature pigs, but, he had a heart of gold.
In 1988 Ron met the love of his life Luanne Devroy Amerson in Green Bay, WI and they were Married on July 5, 1991. Ron is survived by his wife, Luanne Devroy Torre. Five children Melissa (Jayson) Bates NJ, Ronald john (Christina) Torre Jr. NJ. Samantha Torre NY. Luci (Brandon) Smith SC and Anthony Torre and his fiancé Lisa Abrams NY
Four Grandchildren Mckenzie and Ronald john torre III NJ. Lily Nabinger and Lola Lynne Smith SC. His Mother Carole of NY, One brother Anthony (Michelle) SC one sister Carole Nease FL. Brother and sister in-laws Jeff (Sandy) Luedke MO, Bob (Cindy) Luedke Little Suamico WI. Julie (Mike) Meyer Suamico WI and Ron (Lynn) Devroy Sobieski WI. A special Aunt and Uncle, Jean and Wayne Teschendorf Howard WI Several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in Death by his Father Anthony. one son Danial Amerson. His mother and father in law Ronald and Loretta Devroy Suamico WI. Aunt Marylou and uncle Charlie Haval of NJ as well as Grandparents.
The family wishes to thank Special Friends Christine Tottey and her family, George Holbert and family Eric and Zack Simonds and Dan Merril and January Edwards for all the help and support through our journey and Chenango County Hospice for the gift they allowed us for Having the end of Ron's Journey to be here on the Farm in which he loved so dearly.
A Memorial Service l to celebrate his life will be held at Behe Funeral Home 21 Main Street Oxford NY on Saturday August 25th at 2:00PM.

A more compassionate man with animals could not be found. He was an amazing husband and Father and Grandfather. To my husband, although we planned to spend many more years together I wouldn't trade our 30 years together for 70 of someone else's.
