Rose Marie Richer

Rose M. Richer, 45, of Norwich NY, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side on August 13, 2024. Rose was born in Norwich, NY on October 19, 1978, to the late Ronald Thomas and Rose Perry Thomas. Rose is predeceased by her Parents, Ronald and Rose. She was also predeceased by her half Siblings Robert Potter Jr and Melody Thomas.

 Rose is survived by her children, Alisha Richer, Marc Richer, Robert Richer, Carly Richer and Landon Thomas. She is the youngest of her 12 siblings, John (Amber) Thomas, Kingsley Thomas, Fred (Ruthann) Thomas, Maureen (Doug) Cooley, Robin Thomas, Ronald Thomas Jr, Timothy (BobbieJo) Potter, Peggy (Danny) Benedict and Robin (Mike) Cleveland and her grandchild, Daquan Floyd JR. She is also survived by the father of her children, Marc Richer.

Rose was a CNA at Chenango Memorial Hospital for many years. Rose was an amazing woman. Anywhere she went she was always the life of the party. Rose always enjoyed a good time; she was lively and outspoken and was never afraid to speak her mind. She was an amazing friend and a great listener. Rose was always willing to give support whenever needed and would never judge those around her. She loved her family and her pit bull Teddy dearly. Rose was a strong woman, she fought hard during her battle with cancer, even after the doctors told her that the battle was over and the odds were against her, she never gave up. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. A graveside service for Rose will take place on August 22, 2024, at 1:00PM in Mt Hope Cemetery, Norwich NY officiated by Rev. Matt Frayer.
