Ruth murray

Ruth P. Murray, 88, of South Hamilton, NY passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in the Extended Care Facility of Oneida Healthcare after a long and full life.
Born October 17, 1926 in Oxford to Leon & Grace (Ardron) Palmer. Ruthie was a 1945 high school graduate of Oxford Academy. She then went on to graduate from the Rochester School of Business and loved to tell the story of hitchhiking her way across the state with a friend to get there.
After schooling, she went on to marry LeRoy Samuel Murray of Norwich, NY. Ruthie was always completely devoted to her family and loved a good laugh and a good story. She was the rock of her family and lived to see 5 generations of kids. She spent most of her free time being a good mom carting her kids around. And, then carting, her kids kid's. Never missing a practice, game, color guard show, dance or music recital, graduation, wedding or, hair salon opening. We could always count on Ruthie being there.
Always proud of her independence, Ruthie worked her entire life. She spent the last 20 years of her career at Standard Printed Circuits in Sherburne, NY as a circuit board inspector where she was a valued employee and good friend of the previous owners, the Andersons. After retiring at the age of 72 she then worked part-time for a few years in Earlville, NY at Primer Electric as the store's cashier. In her "spare time" she enjoyed gardening and raising heifers.
Predeceased by both her husband, Leroy Samuel Murray, April 27, 1927-September 12, 1997, and her loving son, John L. Murray, July 15, 1950 - November 3, 2004.
Ruthie is survived by her children, LeRoy "Lee" Murray, Jr. of Fullerton, CA , Deborah Severin and Rusty Genter of Sherburne, NY, Jacqueline Murray of Norwich, NY , Patrick Murray and Connie Rundell of Clinton, TN and Teresa Cossitt & husband John Cossitt, Jr. of South Hamilton, NY.
Grandchildren, Eric Ward of Laytonville, CA, Danielle and Tasha Severin of San Bernardino, CA, John Murray, Jr. of Utica, NY, Pamela Purcell of Oneida, NY, Amanda Murray of Utica, NY, Reannon Crumb of Rochester, NY, and Jessica Murray of Knoxville, TN.
Great Grandchildren, Sheena Ward of Greensboro, NC, Autumn Ward of Laytonville, CA, Matthew Lee and Alyssa Marie Severin of San Bernardino, CA, Austin Murray of Oneida, NY, and Cali Purcell of Oneida, NY.
And, Great, Great Grandchildren, Diego, Samara, Lia & Luna Ward of Greensboro, NC.
Also surviving Ruthie is her brother Leon Albert Palmer & wife Bettie K. Palmer of Schoharie, NY and Leon's children. Cousin, Joyce Ardron of Oxford, NY and her children. And, separated from her children by marriage, Cindy Murray of Utica, NY, Darryl Crumb of South Hamilton, NY and Douglas Markiewitz of Earlville, NY.
